The subject of the research entitled "Belonging in/to Lakonia. An archaeohistorical study on the Sanctuary of Apollo at Amyklai and its surroundings," conducted within the framework of the Center of Excellence "Religion and Politics," is the hill of Agia Kyriaki, 5 km south of Sparta, which has long been associated with the ancient cult center of Apollo Amyklaios. The research complements the excavations that have been carried out in the area for more than 20 years:
