This publication contains the proceedings of the conference "Archaeology and Museums: the unity of the Greek monumental tradition", in memory of Angelos Delivorria. Through his personality and his work, emphasis was placed on the dimension of the archaeologist, the museum man and, in general, the manager of cultural heritage, who succeeds in linking the specific cultural environment with society as a whole. These are issues which, over the last two decades, have increasingly become a key factor in the formulation of a new cultural policy in the country, both for the research community and for the State.
